We are looking for Servers, Mixologists, Bussers, Hosts/Hostess & Expos/Food Runners to join our fast-growing Cocina de Barrio familia (our Encinitas location only)!
All positions MUST have the flexibility to work weekend, evening, and holiday shifts.

SERVER: Responsibilities and Duties
Greet and acknowledge every patron with a friendly smile and introduce yourself
Offer beverage, wine, tequila, mezcal, and cocktail recommendations
Check identification to verify patrons are of legal drinking age
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all menu items and daily specials
Make food and beverage recommendations and answer all related inquiries
Take beverage and food orders and enter orders in the POS system
Communicate regularly with patrons and anticipate needs (refill drinks, clear plates, etc.)
Respond promptly to patron requests in a polite and professional fashion
Process patron payments including credit card and cash transactions accurately
Assist with takeout orders
Answer phone calls & provide accurate information
Assist in silverware polishing and any other duties as needed
Maintain clean and orderly service areas and complete side work duties
Comply with established safety and sanitation standards
Adhere to company policies and standard procedures
SERVER: Requirements
MUST have prior serving experience
MUST have flexibility to work in shifts including weekends, mornings, evenings, and holidays
Able to work in a high volume and fast paced work environment
Able to perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision
Requires a good sense of prioritization and organizational skills
Able to multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency
Accuracy and high attention to detail
Fast learner & menu memorization
Able to project a friendly and helpful attitude
Able to work as part of a Team
Demonstrate honesty and integrity
Must be dependable and timely
High standard of personal appearance and hygiene
Working knowledge of tequila, mezcal, spirits, beer, and wine
BARTENDER: Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with recipes
Deliver drinks and food in timely manner while providing friendly and attentive service
Cut fruit and garnishes for drinks in accordance with recipes
Stock bar and ensure cleanliness behind the bar at all times
Arrange glasses and bar equipment
Restock bar
Switch out kegs when needed
BARTENDER: Requirements
MUST have 3+ years of bartending/mixology experience
MUST be 21+
MUST have flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, mornings, evenings, and holidays
Deep understanding & knowledge of tequila, mezcal, cocktails, spirits, beer, craft beer, and wine.
Able to work in a high volume and fast paced work environment
Accuracy and high attention to detail
Demonstrate honesty and integrity
Possess a clear understanding of weights and measures
BUSSER: Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
Serve water to patrons
Refill beverages
Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed
Clean and reset tables after guests leave
BUSSER: Requirements
Prior experience as a busser in high volume restaurant is a PLUS
MUST have flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
HOST/HOSTESS: Responsibilities and Duties
Friendly & enthusiastically greet patrons upon entering
Seat patrons
Provide menus and silverware to patrons
Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
Accurately communicate with servers and staff
Manage reservations
Maintain a clean & organized front desk
Assist with takeout orders
Answer phone calls & provide accurate information
Assist in silverware polishing and any other duties as needed
HOST/HOSTESS: Requirements
Prior experience is a PLUS
MUST have flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
EXPO/FOOD RUNNER: Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver food orders to patrons quickly and accurately
Check in with patrons to ensure their experience is satisfactory
Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food
Handle various impromptu requests from customers
EXPO/FOOD RUNNER: Requirements
Prior experience as a food runner in a high volume restaurant is a PLUS
Knowledge of menu items & memorization of restaurant floor plan
HIGHLY organized & GREAT communication skills
MUST have flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
